History of Fayston Elementary School

Project Description

To celebrate the 50th year of their present school building, students at Fayston Elementary School studied the history of Fayston, Vermont. The project was a whole-school partnership with the residents of Fayston. Students in Pre-K through 6th grade participated in a variety of projects: learning the history of maple sugaring, researching the nine one-room school houses, tracing the construction of and additions to the present school building, collecting oral histories and conducting ethnographic researching on the relationships that Fayston citizens have had with their schools and town over the years.
